Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the resort was a mixed bag. The beautiful decorations for Christmas were delightful, and I appreciated the friendly vibe throughout the property. However, the mattress in my room was uncomfortably hard, and I struggled to get a good night's sleep. The dining options were decent but a bit overpriced for what was served, especially at the buffet. Overall, some improvements could make it a great experience rather than just okay.
I had a lovely stay at Oglebay, especially enjoying the Festival of Lights. The Wilson Lodge offered spacious and updated rooms, along with a wide range of amenities perfect for families. However, I did encounter a few issues with the check-in process and cleanliness of the Yucca cabin during my past visits. Overall, a wonderful experience that's sure to delight visitors of all ages.
My stay at the cabin was a bit disappointing. While the beautiful grounds and friendly staff made a positive impression, the cabin itself needed serious cleaning, and some amenities were misrepresented online. Overall, I enjoyed the stay, but the cleanliness and accuracy of listings leave much to be desired.
Oglebay offers a beautiful setting with plenty of activities for families, making it an enjoyable vacation spot. The grounds are stunning, and we saw deer up close, which was a highlight. However, some activities come with extra fees, and the terrain can be challenging for seniors. The staff was very attentive, but improvements in room cleanliness would make it even better.
I recently had a wonderful stay at Wilson Lodge in Oglebay Park. The accommodations were spacious and well-refurbished, which added to the overall comfort. I particularly enjoyed the amenities like the outdoor patio and large game room. However, while the food was good, I found some dishes pricier than expected for their value, which slightly tarnished the experience. Still, the beautiful surroundings and exceptional service made up for it.
